"New Product Development Background"
Many LP users likely combine portable audio players (DAPs) with earphones or custom in-ear monitors (CIEMs).
However, we also know that some LP users prefer to combine DAPs with high-impedance headphones. In particular, the flagship LP series, with its design based on stationary equipment principles and power supply design, provides powerful driving force exceeding that of ordinary portable devices, allowing it to drive headphones without issue.
With the discontinuation of the LP6 series, we considered what headphone-using customers wanted from LP. We concluded that a high-output and lightweight product that could fully support even flagship-level headphones with LP's engineering technology was needed, and thus began development.
The concept of "effective driving force that can fully support flagship-level headphones" is no small feat. To achieve continuous and stable true driving force, not just instantaneous peak values for datasheets, there is an important supporting design.
As you can see from the rendering image, LP has always featured a precisely designed special heatsink, and that is the reason.
Excellent cooling design is extremely important for a device to maintain high output continuously.
The newly developed product incorporates this special large heatsink, designed to effectively dissipate heat from the DAC and headphone amplifier chips, achieving both true driving force and lightness.
