COCOM stands for Compact Companion Music. It was developed to be an ideal, compact, and sophisticated partner for enjoying high-quality audio with mobile devices.

The integrated DAC, which combines high sound quality with convenience, has entered the realm of "thinner," "lighter," and "more everyday." With COCOM1, you are freed from the traditional stress of having to search for and connect it only when you want to use it. In addition to its overwhelmingly light weight of 28g, which makes you forget you're wearing it, it features an ultra-thin design of less than 7mm. The connection terminal is also miniaturized thanks to a special flexible PCB used for the OTG cable. This model is for audio minimalists who can carry it in just a smartphone pocket and seamlessly enjoy high-quality sound with wired earphones as soon as they take it out.

The structure of the signal path significantly impacts sound quality. To maximize pure sound quality by precisely controlling the impedance of the USB signal, COCOM1 was designed with an integrated flexible circuit board that meticulously manages electrical characteristics. This innovative approach ensures stable signal transmission while delivering an exquisite listening experience with accurate soundstaging and excellent transient response. The body is stripped of unnecessary functions and embellishments, achieving optimal grip performance that is ideal for audio minimalists who prefer not to be bothered by the complexities of high-quality audio.

NiPO's determination to achieve its traditional acoustic sound has resulted in approximately 500 points of ultra-precise design.

The design philosophy and components of high-end desktop audio have been condensed into a compact body without any compromise. By meticulously arranging approximately 500 internal components, far exceeding the average of about 200 components in typical stick-type portable DACs, it achieves overwhelmingly high-quality sound reproduction that belies its size.

    By combining a femtosecond-grade, ultra-low phase dual crystal oscillator with our proprietary full synchronous operation, we precisely control the timing of digital signals. This minimizes clock jitter, clearly reproducing sound image contours, localization, and spatial depth.

    The use of multiple military-grade capacitors from Panasonic and Vishay suppresses power ripple and internal resistance, dramatically improving instantaneous current supply capability. This achieves nimble, controlled bass response and superior drive.

    Thoroughly cleans power supply noise and high-frequency interference specific to mobile devices. By allocating ultra-low noise power supply ICs to each circuit individually and ensuring thorough stabilization, we achieved a high S/N ratio free from mutual interference, resulting in a deep, silent background and highly detailed sound without noise.

Even in a small enclosure, no compromises are allowed. It generously employs the patented CMMT structure and dual SGM8262, which are also used in high-end NiPO models. This suppresses phase disturbances and transient response degradation, allowing for smooth amplification while maintaining signal fidelity, resulting in excellent linearity and transparent sound quality while delivering natural sound imaging and powerful bass. Equipped with 3.5mm and 4.4mm jacks, it achieves an output impedance of 0.22Ω and a maximum driving power of 500mW. It can bring out the full frequency characteristics of a wide range of models, from difficult-to-drive earphones and headphones to highly sensitive general-purpose earphones, without compromising them.

NiPO Audio Architecture, Inherited

Equipped with a proprietary, fully discrete current mirror I/V conversion circuit that precisely matches over 200 transistor pairs and meticulously converts minute signals into voltage. This circuit processes current signals output from the DAC with high precision, without losing any information. Additionally, it adopts a single-stage gain configuration that completes I/V conversion, low-pass filtering, and voltage amplification in a single stage. By minimizing the signal path, unnecessary coloration and phase shifts are suppressed. This allows for a smooth depiction of the entire musical frequency range, from low to high frequencies, while maintaining a neutral and pleasant sound quality.

COCOM1 supports up to 60W Power Delivery (PD) pass-through fast charging for connected mobile devices. Furthermore, it allows music playback even while pass-through charging. There's no need to put it away after use or just for charging. You can enjoy excellent music playback anytime, effortlessly.

Solid, tactile clicks consolidated on the side

Physical buttons provide a firm tactile experience. A drive switching switch to suppress unnecessary battery consumption while in use, as well as volume and menu buttons, are all consolidated on one side, allowing for intuitive and smooth operation. Additionally, the device features a 0.87-inch OLED display on the front. This display shows real-time sampling rates, filter settings, volume levels, and more, making it easy to confirm various settings.

Equipped with N52-grade high-strength neodymium magnets optimized for the size of the included metal plate, this device strongly adheres to devices with the metal plate attached. To provide a stress-free experience that doesn't require conscious attachment or removal, we adopted a combination with a highly versatile stick-on metal plate that can be used regardless of the device's specifications, such as smartphones, tablets, or game consoles.
