Inheriting the spirit of Orpheus, widely praised as the king of copper wire earphone cables, Orpheus Slim was developed to deliver an appealing audiophile sound—featuring an expansive soundstage, airy highs, rich and full-bodied mids, and a warm, analog-like tone—in a more manageable form factor.

Two variations brought about by solder selection
The conductor determines the lower limit of a cable's potential, while technology sets its upper limit. These models utilize the same top-grade pure copper wire as the flagship "Orpheus" model, yet through proprietary tuning techniques, they are imbued with completely different sound characteristics.

Through years of research, developer Peter focused on a crucial acoustic proposition: "Impedance Refraction." When an audio signal is transmitted between different mediums (such as from a conductor to a connector), impedance mismatches cause reflections and refractions, leading to signal loss and tonal distortion. In this transmission path, solder, which connects the contact points, is the most overlooked yet critical variable. For PW Audio, solder is not merely a joining material; it is at the core of sound quality tuning. No matter how superior the conductor structure, without optimal solder as a medium, impedance refraction will limit the potential of the wire. To overcome this barrier, PW Audio tested all types of solder worldwide and directly ordered proprietary solder formulations, exceeding commercial standards, from large factories in Japan and the USA. By finely tuning the solder composition, the fluidity of signal transitions has been optimized to the extreme, achieving a richer sense of sound layering.

If the Orpheus Slim is a vast wilderness, the Orpheus Slim Re. is an exquisite private live house bathed in soft lighting. The moment the sound begins, musical details approach with greater density and three-dimensionality, filling you with a pleasant sense of immersion as if enveloped by high acoustic density. Its greatest feature lies in the meticulous rendering of vocals. The contours of the singing voice are polished to an extremely smooth finish, imbued with a pleasant warmth that instills deep emotion into every single lyric. Furthermore, to enhance these captivating vocals, the low-frequency expression has been specially tuned. While the low-frequency volume is slightly increased compared to the original model, it is never an unpleasant, stimulating deep bass. It's an extremely mild and rich bass that gently supports the entire song like a cushion. From the sound image to the entire soundstage, everything is harmonized very smoothly, so you won't experience listening fatigue even after long hours, and the more you listen, the deeper you can sink into its world.

Utilizes a coaxial-like structure with a 26.5AWG core conductor placed in the center, thanks to precision manufacturing techniques by craftsmen. The left and right signal lines are completely separated within independent thick coatings and shielding structures, aiming for pure transmission without losing minute signals or intermixing.

The deep green of the outer jacket creates a sharper, more vivid look. The multiple layers of conductors and insulation are combined with a nylon jacket to house them densely. This ensures quality while maintaining comfort during use.
